NZ Birding is a small, independent project with no office, phone line or booking desk. We don't take bookings, sell trips or accept advertising.

Sightings, injured birds and official questions

• Rare bird sightings: report them to Birds New Zealand's records committee through birdsnz.org.nz, or log them on eBird.
• Injured or sick native birds, or anything urgent on conservation land: contact the Department of Conservation through the contact details on its site.
• Trips and access: check the sanctuary's own site, DOC, or the licensed operator's site directly.

Corrections

We keep our field notes up to date. If you spot an error, the quickest fix is often to tell the organisation whose rule or advice has changed. We review every field note on a regular cycle against the official sources it links to.
