In 1993, husband and wife, Tony Wilson and Carol Harker started their own ecotourism company specializing in bird watching tours. They are both keen birders, conservationists and enjoy photography, hiking, diving, skiing, gardening and cooking. They are active in several conservation groups.
Together they strive to make your holiday in New Zealand everything you dreamed of and more.
Tony Wilson BSc
Tony has always had a keen interest in nature, which lead to a Degree in Biology and Zoology and subsequent work in the field of producing environmental impact reports. After traveling the world's wild places and birding spots for three years he decided to start guiding in his own wonderful country.
"What makes the job special for me is meeting wonderful like minded people and sharing those special moments which occur on each tour."
Carol also has a love of the outdoors and since their return to New Zealand has been very busy raising 8 year old Shaan and 11 year old Ayden. While not being able to spend as much time in the field as before Carol now plays an important role in keeping things running smoothly from the office. Those occasions, when Carol is able to join the tours for a few days, are memorable for the clients.
